**Defunct**

Tangerine was a program for OS9 that build a matrix from a set of HAL vectors to facilitate the construction of MDS figures on the Mac platform.

To build a matrix for tangerine

vecs -m [input matrix] -o [new matrix] -n 100 (# of columns) -D -r

< vocab list

-D don’t dump to std output

-r Use RCS (ie, normalize the vectors)

?-s skip squeeze

This creates new HAL style matrix with n columns

Next step is squish program -takes HAL matrix and makes tangerine matrix

squish [matrix] [out]

squish takes two arguments.

So use ResEdit to set file type and creator

Could also use snitch
