Patience

Some hand long dead
Planned that I should stand
Under this stone arch, and ache
With the beauty of this walk before me.
Mottled in cinnamon, sable, and amber,
The trees soar in symmetrical pairs
From the smooth, ivied circles, rich
With the drizzle of a winter spring.
