When I first began working in this lab in Spring 2005, I assisted Jon Willits with his Proper Names experiment. That summer I began gathering information to begin my own experiment with Jon. I expanded on Jon's Proper Names experiment by examining how participants would respond to Hispanic and Caucasian names in a priming experiment. This research was presented at the Psychonomics conference in Houston, TX in November 2006. Conference Presentation: Currently, I am working on a live journal experiment looking at texts from different ethnic groups.
