Cindy is currently on staff at UCR in the Office of Education and Community Initiatives. She reports that her position as a teacher in the "Growing Up Well Program" is rewarding in that she believes the program and her efforts are making a positive impact on elementary school children. Cindy is teaching pro social skills. "The main purpose is to promote healthy attitudes and behaviors at the elementary level. . . . Pro social skills, provide specific skills related to relationships, stress, school structure etc. and is reinforced through role playing with the children."
